Oh come off it, FA! Everyone's entitled to an opinion, whether you like it or not.
They were dodgy decisions however you look at it.
Regarding the Fulham 'penalty', I believe the decision was right - but the way it was arrived at was wrong. Halsey should have consulted the linesman BEFORE awarding or denying the penalty. He should never have awarded it, consulted, then changed his mind.
Spend half as much time training your referees as you do fining people to pay for your next dinner party, and people wouldn't have the need to make such comments.
Mind you, Mourinho said: "If a similar situation happens in the future to Thierry Henry or Ruud van Nistelrooy we will see if a similar decision is given. I do not believe it will be."
But it DID happen in the Fulham game - a clear penalty (which even Coleman agreed with) for a foul on Henry was not given. But at the time, Mourinho wouldn't have known that, so we'll forgive him. ;-)
Robert Pires plays Arsénal - not Fulham. :I
;D

If you look at it again, It's true Ashley Cole didn't get the ball however he didn't foul the player either.
How he missed the Henry one, I don't know... And yes, there was a very strong case to say the 'recovering' Mortiz Volz should've walked for it.
Looking at the replays, I didn't see Ashley Cole touch the ball at the other end. Certainly, he did come very close, but he clearly bought down the player infront of goal - whether Lehmann collected the ball or not.
A yellow card offence, not a red. Simply because, Lehmann was there, directly ahead of him.
But, the ref' saw it, gave the penalty - before changing his mind under the pressure of `everyone's favourite´ Arsénal stars...
That, I do not understand at all! Is this, like I've touched on before, a case where referees - the men in-charge - are simply SCARED to stand up to the game's biggest names?
How could he not allow that Collins John goal, also?
Great ball in, great header. Between two defenders, I did notice his hand on Toure's back - but, it certainly was not enough to stop the versitile Ivory Coastan from getting to the ball first.
I can only presume he didn't jump because he got a shout from the team-mate behind him. Either that, or he saw the ball going behind anyway.
(...Or, perhaps he just thought of John as being a bit of a short-ass?)
It should've been a goal and we all know it.
Certainly, Chris Coleman was entitled to the opinions he gave after the match. It's now past the stage where we used to be able to say these mistakes were just "part of football". We had THREE major descisions going wrong in the opening weekend of this season that I noticed.
If they can look at D'Uros's match report and suspend him, why can't they realise what the managers and video-evidence are saying to come up with something that would work all for the better of the crippling game?
And, there I was, hoping for a brighter approach from the FA in these kind of situations with Trevor Brooking and maybe Trevor Birch stepping in....

It was one of the worst tackles i've ever seen. Volz should have recieved at least had a yellow card for that.
FA are being a tad homosexual as usual.
It's like me getting arrested because I said Tony Blair has a camp voice.
'the almighty referees'
