Riiight.

So because SFX used to be bad in the old days, that makes it okay for the Matrix sequels to have rubbish CGI slow-motion bits.

Heh. Kids, eh..

I don't care about CGI lookingbad, it's certainly better than when Luke Skywalker and co flew around the Death Star on strings back in the 70's.

On the contrary, LOTR had some good CGI humans, but that's because they were shown at a distance.

The moment The CGI Calcium Kid jumped on those big elephants it all turned pear-shaped, or rather, polygon-shaped.

CGI Spiderman still looks awful, natch.

Seconded on the CGI being rubbish. Reloaded was full of it - CGI is great for robots and so on but looks completely unnatural when used for humans and yanks you out of the film right away.

Chateau scene was a bit excellent, because of the lack of CG.

But the one with 100 Smiths was excellent in terms of having lots of smiths on the same screen looking completely realistic. Shame about the cgi slow motion flying malarkey which looked like an fmv from a computer game. It would have been great if it was more realistic though.

No effort involved - I just want my iDisk space back so I can use iSync again!

No doubt that reads as gibberish unless you use OSX ...
