Jesus, I never knew this was so hard.

I currently have a DELL keyboard that came with my PC... it's shockingly poor- loud, crap for gaming and it hurts your fingers after a while.

So, I went on a search for a good keyboard, faily cheap, and one that doesn't take up much desk space (a big problem).

I looked to Microsoft... but no. You see, they decide to implement stupid hotkeys which mean the keyboard size is increased substantially, and so it won't fit on my desk. Bah.

I then search for Logitech... and they all cost on upwards of £50. What's the deal with that?

So basically, could you reccomend a good quality keyboard, fairly cheap, and one that doesn't take up much desk space...

does such a keyboard actually exist?!

http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG2777_microsoft_multimed.html Microsoft keyboards are generally good quality although this design for the keyboard I have linked is fairly old but they still are damn reliable.

I bought a Logitech keyboard for £15 from PC World for my work computer. While I wouldn't describe it as small, it isn't big either, and is by far the most comfortable keyboard I've ever used (once you get used to the odd flat angle). The only gripe is that it seems the space-bar is on it's way out already, hopefully I just got a dud >:O|

I have a nice Packard Bell Keyboard. Cost me about £5-10 cant remember exactly how much. It's a blue one, and does have hotkeys, tho' dont make them keyboard much larger than normal. It also comes with an attachable wrist rest... You can try looking for that if you want...
