Firefox just crashed on me, and lost all my tab settings.

I've been using Mozilla for aaages now.

What's the difference, isn't Firefox just a dumbed down version of what I'm using?

Firefox is to resource hungry for my 450mhz machine (before anyone moans at me there is no way I'm working with an application that struggles to run) and doesn't really work well with the sort of PDF's we print on a daily basis.

Yes that's another thing. With 50 tabs open Firefox takes up approx. 150MB; open up a PDF file (which takes ages on dialup, and all the while I can't use the browser) and then close it and it takes up 202MB. So much for memory optimization.

I use firefox about half the time, IE the other half.

Firefox user here. Its great if you have fast net but generally can be a pain on 56k. Especially that after loading an image it insists on downloading it again when you save it.

I only got firefox today but linkification totally owns.

It's slower than IE but it beats having 6 or 7 windows open on IE and when you get some extentions it's amazing.
