Recently I bought a Coolermaster Aerogate CPU fan, works well enough. It comes with a knob to adjust the fan speed (rpm), and two different options; a PCI slot space (not the slot, just the whole - if you get my drift) and a 3-1/2" drive slat. Now, I don't know about you but I like everything within hands reach - so I want the 3-1/2" option. But the actual metal plat thingie, instead of regular screw-holes, has 4 "rivet-size" holes, which don't even com close to fitting into the cases 3-1/2" slot holes.

Hope it makes sense... What should I do?

I just drilled a hole in one of my spare 3 1/2" drive covers.

Cunning, very cunning.

Also, my mobo seems to only have 2 fan slots (one front, one back), but I want to add a third fan... Where would it plug into?

Also - the back fan doesn't seem to be working... But it's just one cable going right into the mobo? What could be wrong? I might just be paranoid - how can I check it's working? Just open the case and look?

Well with mine I had the same problem, I put it in a floppy slot and it sits there quite happily but I don't push the front plate in as it'll probably fall inside the case.
