This sounds fan-frickin-tastic : http://ps2.ign.com/articles/544/544428p1.html

So good in fact that I'm considering either purchasing a new PS2 or upgrading my steam powered PC as soon as possible.

It clearly makes sense to upgrade my PC rather than opt for Sonys unreliable garbage heap, as there are a great many games I want to play on the PC, not least Doom 3 and Far Cry.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Yeah. I still don't see how this is gonna work on the PS2. It all sounds a bit much for the Xbox, nevermind the PS2.

To be honest as much as IGN are hyping it up, there's very little new content there by the sound of it. Other than these stupid ways of changing you hair and clothes, it's all very Vice City/Liberty City just on a much larger scale.

I'm yet to be really impressed and I'm sure even though the screenshots look nice, the actual game will look pig ugly just likie all the previous games have. Rockstar are good at releasing screens of GTA games and making them look amazingly realistic and beautiful, but when it comes down to it the graphics tend to crap. When you think that there was a lot of slowdown in the last games, I don't even want to see what the new larger enviroments run like on the dated PS2.

PC version = Mods

Fan made content that can often add a great deal more to the game than what was originally developed. That’s why I’ll be waiting for the PC version of GTA this time, last two times I got it for PS2 (Thought the second one played like a really good expansion pack, but not much cop as sequel), plus I’ll be busy with Rome: Total War, Evil Genius, United Offensive, Half-Life 2 (hopefully) and Dawn of War, so five months doesn’t quite seem that long a wait

I hope San Andreas has been developed as a sequel this time, though I do find the prospect of running round an entire State quite an exciting one. I just hope Rockstar have spent as much time improving the game-play as they have the landscape.
