No i'm not talking about basketball, the other so called beautiful game - the game of soc (evil mean stares from everyone).....football :-D

What is it about football that can bring out the best in people, yet also the downright stupid moronic side of people as well? Everton, Leeds, Barcelona, Turkish and English fans are 5 excellent examples of what i'm talking about.

Everton fans, they lose their little golden boy and suddenly all around the ground and on his home is scrawled messages of hate, things such as he's the devil, a judas, and the one message that particularly made me shake my head in disgust, the message that was written about the Munich '58 victims. For 2 odd years they've cheered him on as their hero and when he moves on they suddenly turn on him like a vicious pack of wolves. It's a game for godsakes i could understand the hate if he'd killed your mother or something but all he's done is move from one club to another. Do normal people stay in the same job all their lives and never even think of moving? The hell they do so why is Rooney any different?

The same goes for Leeds fans, yes i know all about the supposed hatred between both United's (although right now we couldn't quite care less, how is the Championship by the way lads?) but once again the lad has aspirations and dreams, something that couldn't be realised at Leeds. I very much doubt anyone if given the opportunity of a better job with better pay and the chance to perform at the highest level would give it up. But hey football fans are the most honest individuals in the world aren't they?

Barca fans, ones that really annoy me. I love the team however every time i watch a Madrid vs Barca game and see Figo get pelted with all sorts of objects as he tries to take a corner it embarrases me. I honestly can't understand how just moving clubs can generate so much hate in people. They treat him like they would a rapist or child murderer.

Turkish fans - Well we all know about these lot. The Leeds v Galatasaray game in particular when i think 2 people died. Died, just over a game of football, it's senseless and stupid.

and finally english fans, well do i even need to bother explaining about these lot. Granted they've calmed down a bit now the government has actually bothered to try and stop the hooligans getting out to start problems but there was a time we could barely go a game without them causing some sort of trouble. Just watch the game and enjoy it for god sakes, if you want a punch-up go down your local and find another pig ignorant twit to knock 2 shades of hell out of each other.

So my question is exactly why does a game that is supposed to unite everyone inspire so much hatred as well? Why can't people realise it's just a game, a business, and enjoy it for the way it's meant to be, as pure entertainment.

Oh for god sakes someone call a whaaaam-bulance for tribute please. the use of the word enemy? This is my point exactly. It's a frickin sport and another team not a group of people with guns shooting at you

No i've just got more sense to be wasting time with stupid death threats on a footballer and don't see doing so as proving my loyalty, but if it does then you can keep the loyalty

It's hard to be a loyal United fan for me- I've only been to one home game thanks to the fact I live 300 or so miles from Manchester. =D

Need I explain it again? He was supposed to be a LEEDS FAN. Leeds fans are bred to hate you scummers. He claimed to be Leeds through and through, you see? Then he goes to the enemy. same with Rooney, only different clubs, less of a reason and more hatred.

But, then again, you're a Man United fan - you know feck all about loyalty
