I brought my husband the gran turismo 3 game for ps2 and after a while I got him the cheat codes off of the net but we can't work out where they go to activate the cheat codes. can any one help me PLEASE

Gran Turismo 3: A-spec Cheats (PlayStation 2)
Effect: Give You Professional Difficulty
Rate It!
When: on the difficulty selection screen in arcade mode on single race
How: hold down all 4 shoulder buttons (L1,L2,R1,R2) and it should say proffesional instead of Hard then keep hold of L1,L2,R1,R2 and go on professional and press x
Effect: You Can Choose Your Prize Car!!!
Rate It!
When: when a silhouetted car has a black circle flashing underneath it
How: when a silhouetted car has a black circle flashing underneath it, press X and you will get that car as a prize
Effect: Top Speed - Over 600kph!!
When: On Test track max speed test.
How: Get a car with around 1000 horsepower. This cheat works in the Escudo, C5R. The Viper was close, GT40, Falcon XR8, dont know of others. On the test track, set up the car with the lowest possible downforce in the front, and the highest in the back. Gear it way up, put the final drive ratio down near 3.0. Set the spring rate at its softest level and drop the ride height the whole way. ASM and TCS should be off.
Jump on the test track for a max speed test. Go backwards for a few laps if you want to test without restarting. Once you get to the second straight half way down roughly, the front of the car will lift off the ground. Once it lifts the whole way, the car will begin to accelerate my Falcol went 667kph Only stops when you hit the wall at the end.

How: Even though you have the suckiest car in the game try to get IA Licence and go to Endurance Mode. Even though your last in some of the races you get a lot of money.

How: When you win a race (dosen't matter which one) hold X and
you will see cars with a black circle moving around under them.
Just look for the car that you want and when the circle is under
the car you want you just release X and vwala you have the car.
(race the endurance races and you will get good cars)

How: buy the gillet vertigo race car, tune it up fully, then set the settings as, gear ratio as wide as it gets, downforce on the front to 0.45 and at the back to 1.25, turn the TCS and ASM controllers to level 0. then take the car for a spin on the test track, you should see the front go up whilst you are racing and you will hit speeds of 1000km/h, you might loose control of the car sometimes though.

I don't think there are any cheats for Gran Turismo 3. However if you buy Gran Turismo Concept, you can unlock 10 million quid and transfer the money over to Gran Turismo 3.
you DONT CHEAT.
I brought my husband the gran turismo 3 game for ps2 and after a while I got him the cheat codes off of the net but we can't work out where they go to activate the cheat codes. can any one help me PLEASE
