I saw part of a film the other day that I think was supposed to be some kind of Lord of the Rings spin off, but it was set in modern times.
It was really weird, it was set in India, and Gandalf was pretending to be a lawyer, but ended up as some kind of spiritual leader using non-violent protest, and I think a bit of magic.
Ben Kingsley played the part, and half of the actors were rubbish because they kept calling him Gandhi instead of Gandalf.
No hobbits in it either.
How on Middle-Earth did they get away with such a movie?

I've seen that film too. What annoyed me was that Ghandalf's dialogue had been changed.
Instead of shouting "Legolas! Shoot that b*stard Orc in the face. Go for his eyes, go for his eyes!"
He says "an eye for an eye and we will all be blind".
AND there was no Tom Bombadil.
