Bargain? - You only get what you pay for
Two poems for the Price of One

Bargain

Pennies make Pounds,
Pounds make more,
Spending money I am Renowned,
My wallet admits he’s sore,

I’ve always had an eye for a bargain,
First in the queue for a deal,
I’m always routing through the bargain bin,
To try and find a steal,

Saving Money has its drawbacks,
Because you always get back change,
Which allows me to buy more knick knacks,
So now I have more junk to arrange.

You only get what you pay for

Sitting upon a shelve one day,
Was a digital camera on display,
Twenty pounds seemed such a snip,
Twenty Pounds - cheap as chips,
Handing over my hard earned cash,
The till assistant starts to laugh,
Got it home, broke the seal;
at twenty pounds was it a steel?

Took some pictures of my cat,
Filmed some mpegs of my rat,
USB lead in each hole,
Upload my media, good times roll?

To my horror I had found,
The pictures reflect on Twenty pound,
Pixilated, a load of Cack,
if wanted my money back -

Demanded a refund right away,
He pointed to a sign on display,
No Refunds - that’s our law
You only get what you pay for.

It wasn't that bad,
But if you can,
Try and make all the verses in your poems scan.
