Ahh another day wouldn't be complete without another Laker rant and a certain EU president gave me the perfect ammunition for another non-PC rant.
So Mr Prodi wants to claim Britains' medal haul as a victory for 'the whole of Europe' and that 'Europe sweeped the medals table this year'?
Now sorry you Italian piece of trash but have you still not learned your lesson? First you try to get your grubby little mits on our money and now you want our medals as well? Well you can sod off on both fronts as they belong to Britain and Britain alone. (and if any lefties around here want to throw around the terms racist or xenophobic then may i respond with a misquote from Austin Powers *There's only 2 things in this world i hate - People who are ignorant and intolerant of other countries cultures and the French)
Did i see Amir Khan hugging himself with a EU flag? Did i see Kelly Holmes waving around a EU flag after her victory? Did i hear any British athletes during their winning interviews say how proud they were to win their medals for Europe. If they did then i obviously tuned into something different because i didn't see or hear any of those things.
These athletes are British, they are proud to be British (though i myself can't see why but meh :-D) i doubt that if you asked them what nationality they are they'd respond with 'European'. So Prodi, take your little idealistic speech and shove it back down your throat and stop trying to muscle in our celebrations. We hardly do well at sport i'll be damned if someone is going to steal the thunder. :-D
