DivX
http://www.divx.com/

The player on that will play most movie files that other players fail to play. Can also buy (or find a download) of DrDivX which lets you encode loads of movie types etc.

If you've got a multi display thing going on, make sure you've set it up so that your monitor is the primary one. Some only show video output on the primary display.

What are you trying to play and what type of file is it?

Continue this excellent work...
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do, I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
