I have a Shuttle SB62G2, P4 2.8HT with 512Mb RAM.

I'm planning on upgrading my Graphics card to a Radeon 9800 Pro or XT.

Firstly, anybody know the most powerful card that can run safely in these cases? If I got a 9800 Pro and overclocked it to XT, would that be safe?

----

I don't need anything top-end (X800 style) as it's stupid money anyway. Just something that can run Doom 3 and Half Life 2/CS:Source at a nice detail.

Any help?

Yeah? I'll go ahead with it anyway then. If it crashes on the first run, I'll just sort the case out with some extra cooling...

9800xt here I come :D

I have had both a Radeon 9600XT and Geforce 5900Ultra card and both worked fine.

Bah.

Still, I could always mod the case to get some extra cooling in there...

Hmmm, they still run really hot though.

For small cases like that I would only recommend any Graphics Card that requires a small or no GPU fan, if you have a look apart from a heatpipe connected to the CPU there is almost nowhere for the hot air to go.

Yes that'd be fine, but at the very least to improve cooling you have to remove the souter shell, or cut a hole where the card is. There really is no room left for it in Shuttles.
