I jsut noticed an invoice for our computer that wwe have, printed 04/03/00

128MB Fast SDRAM 100Mhz
27GD (I'm sure that should be GB, but meh) UDMA Hard Disk Drive
192 SVGA Colour Monitor (About the only good thing about it)
Onboard enhanced IDE
AGP 64 Graphic
Total Cost: £1,348.00
Crazy, yes, it's 4 years ago, but still.
And I don't know what's worse, the fact my dad paid that much for that, or the fact he won't pay 40% less now for:

512 MB RAM
DVD Recorder Drive
128Mb NVIDIAFX5200 Graphics card ( I was sure it was 256, but 128's good enough)
160 GB Hard Disk Storage SPace
17" TFT monitor
Wireless Keyboard and mouse.
And, you can upgrade to 1024 MB RAM, an AMD Athlon 3200 processor, and 256 MB Geforce graphics card for like, a 100 quid extra.

so why don't you upgrade for 'like 100 quid extra'?

The FX5200 is rubbish.
It's quite obviously better than not having a graphics card. Full stop.

Hey I'm stuck with a 256 MHZ Mac and the only decent mac games you need gigahertz of power and a better graphics card than the one that comes in it.

I once bought 4Mb of RAM and an 80Mb hard drive for £200 ... each.
I've got Unreal Tournament 2004 for my iMac and it runs really well - trouble is, I'm crap at it.
