It's what makes them so amazing. The instruments just kinda crash into eachother, instead of blending smoothly (although they can do smooth if you want, check the instant rhythm / atmosphere / style change in Music When the Light Go Out).
And occasionally a guitar seems to drift off on it's own, before being pulled into line by the drumming or genius lyrics. The imperfections makes them much more exciting to listen to.
Love it.
Though teh Futureheads/Zutons come close.
