Vampyr's holiday advice may be unneccesary but i'll give it anyway
Being an observent lad, i noticed that Lucy Jane (and i assume Congman also) are off to antigua soon. Being a spoilt child i have been all over the world and am only 16, I have indeed been to antigua, and it is a very nice place. We went to the north coast and visited one of the neighbouring islands (by boat - not ferry - BOAT).
It is a beautiful country, the people are extremely friendly and if you want to drive round then the country roads are quiet and have lovely scenery. Lots of sugary cane. mmm tasty.
If you are staying in a hotel then the best time to "chill/be maxin/relaxin... erm all cool" sunbathe is NOT noon. it is too hot and no matter how much sun tan lotion - you will get burnt unless you are african black. I am indian. I got burnt. lots. however the sea is always refreshing and nice. swim there, not the pool (unless it is a bar pool).
