Anyone ever recorded anything on their PC?
Yeah, samples with the microphone on Sound Recorder.
All good. :-)
So anyone tried any of those house mixing programs?
I bet most of your are familiar with what they're about atleast. :-)
So I have myself a House Mixing program (Ejay v6 or something) and after making a drum loop I like to play the bass over it.
The thing is, it doesn't play back in time.
And no, it's not my playing that's the problem. :-)
Basically, if you try and record on Ejay then it can#t handle the playing and the recording at the same time and the recording ends up being out of time.
Fair enough, I thought while using a P433, the processor just isn't up to it. But it doesn't work on my flashy new 3200 Celeron laptop either.
So Ejay clearly isn't up to the job.
Anyone know a program that might be (one that lets you sample loops but also record over them?)
Thanksyou. :-)
Unfortunately Ejay's a little rigid how you can place samples.
They have to begin at the beginning of a bar.
Besides, I don't think it's simply late, I think it's sort of squeezed and stretched. For instance, if I play over a long time, first it's out of time, then it get's in time, then it goes out again...
I think the recording system is missing bits and adding in blanks because i can't keep up.
Anysway, I've been reading reviews and it seems that Ejay's software is always fantastically crammed with idea's and features, but so poorly programmed and optimised that it's generally unusable.
Which is a shame.
Anyone know any decent alternatives?
