I've just pre-ordered Friends Series 10 Box Set for £21.99, of the net, and then the next day, the site changed the price to £55! Now they cant force me to pay the £55 can they? My mate pre-ordered something cheap and the site changed the price similar to this situation, and they tried to make him cough up the full amount, as apparently, could not get the cheaper one in stock. :S Any thoughts?
When I ordered 24 Season 3 DVD Set off of Play.com, they said to me they'd charge me the lowest price, even if it changed after the order, which was nice of them! :0)
Until an item is charged for, the store (online or high st) has no obligation to sell you the item at the specified price.
They have no obligation to actually give you the item at the price you "offered" to pay. An order is just an offer from you to purchase the item at that price, they can refuse this and say you have to pay the extra or cancel your order.

Thats what they did to my mate, said that they couldnt get the cheap item from their suppliers, so he cancelled the order.
Nice one, they cant make you pay the extra, the only thing they can do is refuse to sell you the goods at all.
