1) The Christopher Brookmyre novel it is based on has some of the blackest (and most amusing) comedy I've read in a crime novel. "Handcuff him", "How!? he's got no f***** HANDS left!"
2) James Nesbitt is *not* the ideal casting choice for Parlablane (the main character) in the same way Kee-an-oo is a terrible,terrrible choice for John Constantine (Constantine)
3) It will probably suck.
4) It will upset people who've read the book.
Still. I live in hope. The trailers look as if they've captured the feel of the novel at least.
I doubt we'll see the opening scene closing with the keech (look it up) on the matlepiece though.
