So I got a picture phone, but I don't know how to set up sending them and recieving them.

Have you made sure GPRS is set up on your phone first? MMS will not work without GPRS. Your best bet really is to contact O2 and brave their atrocious Customer Service. Get them to set up GPRS and MMS. they usually say some crap about not being able to do them both at the same time but just tell them that you want to be able to send Picture Messages without having to call back on their Premium Rate line again.
I had massive MMS problems with O2 when I was with them - and that was ages ago. I would have thought they'd make life a little easier for their customers by now.
