I'm at my uncles. He has just about every CD in existance, which makes it 130% better when you're trying to fill your iPod with genius music.
This is where you people step in. I have a mind like a seive, and 1337 musical tastes. Most people say they're open minded when asking for suggestions - I'm not. Hell no. I'm not listening to Someone reciting poetry to a backdrop of a mix of african drums and Micheal Jackson's 'Bad'
I'm looking for bands in a similar vein to the ones I already love: Idlewild, The Smiths, The Cure (maybe not so much), Libertines, Kasabian - all that stuff that MTV2 loves nowadays.
So, remind me of my favourite bands, please.

Couldn't be bothered to read the posts so just take in whatevers useful. I kinda like these bands (some more than others):
Snow Patrol, QOTSA, Franz Ferdinand, Ash, Manics, Chilis, Libertines, Strokes, Eagles, Feeder, Keane, Jet, Muse, Oasis, Scissor Sisters, Blur, I get bored now....
then possible taster bands:
Razorlight, Longview, Jane's Addiction and many others that i have on my iPod or mates MD player.
