Or 'Spinal Tap with folk music' as it's probably been referred to by a number of people. Anyway, it's mostly the same cast from Spinal Tap and Best in Show, only it's set around a folk show in New York held in memory of a recently deceased folk legend. Cue Christopher Guest as a balding banjo player who's starting to sound like a ventriloquist's dummy, Eugene Levy as a wild-haired depressive and Parker Posey as part of a collective folk group called the New Main Street Singers (who like to sing about Jesus, clouds and flowers).

It's all rather charming, has some really great laugh out loud moments, some great music and an utterly fantastic character from Fred Willard as a manager of one of the bands. He's only in about three or four scenes, but he's far and away the best thing in it. His catchphrases are legendary, as is his innappropriate suggestion for a stage show involving Moby Dick and vast quantities of water.

So go find it on DVD, it's funny and made me laugh, and has made me want to watch Spinal Tap again.

I've been wanting to see this for ages. I've come close to buying it so many times but always ended up putting it down as I just can't afford to splash out on DVD's right now.

Not quite, but it pushes an 8.

"Hey, wha' happened?" Fred Willard rules.

See this please.
