The facts are thus:-
The WWE claims that - On August 15th, 2004 Randy Orton beat Chris Benoit for the WWE World Heavy-weight Championship, making him the youngest WWE World Heavy-weight Champion at 24 years old.
- On August 25th, 2002 Brock Lesnar beat The Rock for the WWE Undisputed Championship, making him the youngest Undisputed WWE Champion at 25 years old.
The previous youngest undisputed champion, that Brock took the record from was Yokozuna - On April 4th, 1993 Yokozuna beat Bret Hart for the then WWF Heavy-weight Championship, making him the youngest WWE Champion in history at 26 years old.
Now, all this means that the belt defended as the WWE Title (Descended from the Undisputed Championship) on Smack!down is descended from the old WWF World-Heavyweight title and the WWE's own official history of this belt proves this (Brock taking it from Jericho who made it undisputed and then defecting to S!D).
When Eric Bischoff resurrected the title defended on RAW as the WWE World-Heavyweight Championship, due to Brock Lesnar's defection to Smackdown, the actual belt used was the old WCW World Heavyweight Title, meaning that this belt inherited the heritage of former WCW World Champions.
Well - On October 29th, 1995 The Giant (The Big Show) beat Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavy-weight Championship, making him the youngest WCW World Champion in history at 23 years old.
Meaning of course, that Orton hasn't broken any records for being the youngest holder of his belt, or even of any World Heavyweight title currently used in the WWE. Unless of course the WWE have just screwed up and thrown away the history of the WCW promotion that they bought.
i can't imagine letting myself get to that size so early in life... or ever really
;)
Nice work though, Sherlock.
in fact someone post all current belts and what they have been in past and you will get...
