Due to not having Sky, i missed out on summerslam, haviong watched all the build up on hiliday in canada. and it got me thinking....
remember the good old days of wrestling, when the Rock, Stone cold, taker, kane HHH and Mankind/Cactus/Love dominated the top matches. When Benoit was rivalling the great Y2J and most importantly WHEN WRESTLING WAS ON 4.
ah yes i can see Tazz and Micheal Cole there now "remember well be back next week 4 on 4" but they never were, they were always on really late coz channel 4 didnt like them. The Royal Rumble, Backlash, Invasion, Summerslam and Wrestlemania were the only PPVs to be shown b4 it got stupidly cancelled.
The last big action i remember seing was Stone Cold screwing over the WWf to allow WCW and ECW to join and become WWE. and HHH pedigreeing manking into some tacks, the rock kicking out of everything and undertaker and Kane as a tag team.
now however we have idiots like brock lesbian and evolution. what the hell is evolution. ill tell u they are a cheap imitation of the great DX, road dogg (oh you didnt know...) Billy Gun, Xpac and HHH.
I still think some of the storylines are hilarious and the wrestling is good, but the only huge names left are Y2J, benoit angle and HHH all the rest are young pretenders. yeah the undertaker and Kane are still there but kane wants lita in some crazy marriage match and taker is agsinst "bradshaw from APA" for the title. eh?? bradshaw???
i have had my rant. if anyone wants to get channel 4 to put wrestling back on do it now. now or sooner.

That's 'Ric' and yes he is old. Stone Cold's neck is in such bad condition he would risk permanent paralysis if he were to have another match. He too has gone, forget him.

Less kicking out is a good thing, as it got to the point of being unrealistic. Going against the psychology of a good match just to get a crowd pop is counter productive, as next match you have to top the number of ridiculous kick-oputs and you can't keep topping it...unless you want matches that last for 2 hours...
