Anyway, I was a bit unsure at first about Daniel Craigs performance, as let's face it, it was a bit of a shame to see Pierce Brosnan go, especially after his great performances in the past movies.
Fear not mind, as Daniel Craig acted exceptionally well throughout the whole film, and well, he may be the ugliest Bond yet, to which point I'm surprised he can even get such good looking women after him, but he was certainly a great new addition to the series.
Anyway, as soon as the movie started, it was almost like watching an old film. The movie was in black and white, and we were welcomed by quite a short, but sweet intro on what was going on in the film.
Shortly afterwards, the opening credits kicked in, and wow, was it a nice surprise to see such graphical work in a film.
The colours, the Casino theme, the cards, the guns, the shapes..............everything about it was really quite impressive.
Shortly after this, the colour kicked in, and well, I won't spoil it for you, but if you love watching free runner/le parkour videos on the internet, then you'll definitely enjoy the on foot chase scene between Mr.Bond and his target.
Casino Royale portrays Bond the way he was meant to be seen as...........an Assassin.
The whole film is pretty lengthy (approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes), but it's definitely well worth the money to go and see it, even if you get a pain in your butt from sitting down for so long.
So really, if you're a fan of the previous Bond movies, and you're up for giving Daniel Craig a chance to prove himself in this spectacular and action packed movie, then be prepared for a great storyline, lots of plot twists, and obviously, a fairly high amount of passionate scenes between Bond and his female interests.
Definitely worth the watch.
My score:
8.5/10
A must see for any fan of the series, and a great action packed movie for any family interested in the Genre!
Don't miss out on this one.
