Many of the pictures you see nowadays in magazines are of the video kind are part of the promo and not within the actual game. These Waverace2 pictures were stunning pictures of ingame action...
...but as graphics get better and better, as resolution gets better and better, as vector based pixels get smaller and smaller what is the outcome for the rest of the game??
I dont want to have a game with just '''the best graphics'''
I want a game with the best gameplay, the best ideas and the most original format, but then nearly all formats have been tested in games, I suppose what hasn't been done is RPG/First Person/Shooter??
(But then again what kind of a game would that be?)
I dont like the screenshots in magazines, they give you something to look at, they give you something to talk about, it would be very wrong to judge these screenshots for the final piece of the game.
Microsoft have certainly used this rule to increase publicity by releasing 'fake' ingame shoots of a snowboarding game a couple of months back, how many times do you reckon this has been done before, probably prior to every console release.
The screenshots of Waverace2 (the ones I was looking at) may have been fake, they may have been enhanced, but they sure did look stunning....
...do you see my point now, don't judge a game by its cover... because in most cases in the end you will be asking:
'Where is the game?'
Thanks
er-no
Anyone got that for an emulator by any chance? It cant still be copyrighted can it?
Also, did anyone play Trick Or Treat on the amiga?
> Wasnt Deus Ex a kind of FPS/RPG hybrid?
FPS/RPG's go back to Ultima Underworlds dont they?...
(Not including Dungeon Master (and the following clones) on the ST/Amiga
And we're talking about Nintendo here! All nintendo's games have been based on Gameplay!
They are just using the technology they've got to make the gameplay as realistic as possible!
