Will be glad to see it back on telly, and that Channel 4 will adopt The Simpsons instead of countless repeats of Friends which I have seen somany times I know every one of Chandler's crap jokes and every stupid thing Joey has ever said.
Will be refreshing to see The Simpsons back on telly and see what they have done with this season, as pretty much of The Simpsons is 'gold' anyway
P.S. Its back on Channel 4 in Autumn 2004

It's probably not really THAT bad, it's just knowing how amazingly funny the show used to be you can't help but hate it.

So you're happy to settle for mediocrity? TV's bad enough as it is, without the crap that the Simpson's has become. It used to be famous for poking fun at celebrity, politics, and had some truly funny situations and jokes. Now all it's famous for is being that show that used to be funny.
There's some furore at the moment in America about an episode where one of the regular characters 'comes out'. That plot, and the one or two episodes where a character dies shows just how shallow the show has become, that it has to rely on febble attempts at shocking their entrenched loyal fans.
You can argue that a lot of the newer episodes are quite frankly pants, but interspersed with these is the occasional one that contains that comedy magic that can't fail to make you laugh. Even in the rubbish episodes there is always the odd bit that makes you laugh out loud.
So in closing, I'd rather another 10 years of under par simpsons episodes than no simpsons episodes at all. Just the other day I saw one I hadn't seen before, and it had me chuckling mindlessly just like Doctor Hibbert.
Still, at least Channel-4 have found something better than 'friends'.
> Jesus does
Has Jesus got a DVD player? No, he has to wait for repeats on Sky like everyone else who hasn't got the boxsets.
