I found this in a newspaper over the weekend, and it made me smile. I thought I seemed the only person to have noticed the similarities between her name and 'Fire Alarm'. Apparently, it's been "doing the rounds" via e-mail, so, there's a slight chance, I suppose, that some of you may have already seen it... Anyway, for those who haven't, please, you will enjoy. ;)
Instructions for Opertating the Faria Alam
1. "The Faria Alan needs to be serviced regularly. This will be the responsibility of senior staff."
2. "Should you be requested to conduct a Faria drill, please ensure you have appropriate insurance. A four-year contract worth £4m-a-year should do it."
3. "Any tampering with the Faria Alam may attract the attention of nearby journalists."
4. "If the Faria Alam goes off repeatedly, you may be forced to evacuate the building. Should this be the case, make sure you clear your desk and turn the lights off on your way out."

I get the impression there may've been more to it than just this, but perhaps the 'paper decided to cut it for certain reasons. Anybody recieved the original through e-mail?
The guys who come up with "spoofs" like this, though...
If we're only gonna have anothr Mark Palios appointed (in-time), I think the least they could do is to re-consider and appoint on of them! ;)
