Lee Hughes certainly got what he deserved. He is a pretty decent bloke really (from what we've seen on Soccer AM, anyway), but that doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if he's a Premiership footballer or not. As a man and human-being he deserves to be treated the same as any other under the same offences.

I'd still like to see what'd happen if, say, David Beckham was put on trial for the same offences, mind...

Would he simply get away with it because of his image?
Even if he was locked-up, you can bet there'd be street-protests from "fans" all across the country.

Looks like he'll only be in for 3 years then. He was always getting high and is a complete tw@t. He's alright to talk to though.

He'd got done for dangerous driving a few times before, but this was going far too far. He should have stayed and phoned 999, but, no, he did a runner and got in more trouble, ending his career instead of just letting it stagnate further.

Good. He killed someone and crippled another, he should get a lot more than 6 years.

Well his career is finished.. if he stays in for 6 years that is.
