I am very sorry about that very stupid posts that i made and i would like to apologise behalf of me and er-no for it. It was not suitable at the time and i was just getting board.

I apologise to everyone in the sr community

I think admitting you copied within the post is ok, as long as you add something to it, make it unique and not just cut and paste.

I did that with my "Violence in Video Gaming" post that I won for, the 1st part was a direct quote from another site to give the facts about parents suing video-games.

I then added my thoughts and opinions to it, which kicked off a "heated debate"

But I think putting "blah blah blah" from another site and leaving it at that is wrong.

You earned it for bringing a good post to us and being honest with the credit.

What do you do, if you've openly admitted you've copied the post, within the actual post itself... and you win the Game-A-Day?

I have copied to win a couple of times.....shame I didn't win...

Ha! Just kidding, but loads of copied posts win, look at all those cheats!

Hmmm...winning for things you don't post.
I fell into that one myself a while ago with my Matrix Abridged post.

I didnt realise it was from another site, being an email I had sent to me months previously.
I posted it because I thought it was funny, wasn't any attempt to win but it did.

So what should you do?
Exactly what I did:

Refuse the filmaday/gameaday prize.

You will feel honourable, decent and true by being honest.

Which is a good thing.

That is all.

I post on loads of major gaming sites, so if you see anything posted by me that is...'copied' then....don't make a fuss...if I win a game you can have the receipt....

If i win for something that is not of my own material then i would another person to have the film. or game.

Yeah its fine to put things from other sites on to the FoG, just make sure you say where they're from. You don't want a gameaday win on your shoulders that you've cheated for. Though, if no-one found out.............

Hey Golden Rhino, how about an apology for that Alternative ending to The Empire Strikes Back?

I mean I found it funny, it's just that it was much funnier when I read it on liv4now sometime last year!

It's okay to put funny things on this site that you read elsewhere, in my opinion, but please, give credit to where you got it from.
