Just read it, and if you put aside 'kids book' image it has... It's actually not too bad. Th way it's written is quite interesting.. but the ending's s***e.

Meh, read it ages ago.

Not as good as everyone says though. Nice angle, perspective etc, but not that great. Idea's good. But plot isn't like 'Whoah... Wish I had thought of that.'... More like 'Oh.'

Earthsea on the other hand (Ursula le Guin) is promising so far. Keeping me going while out in the US... Also, has anyone read any of 'The Great Hunt' series? I think it's by Jordan Stewart or something along those lines. Got the first two with me too, but haven't got a chance to read them yet.

Indeed, after i turned the next page and saw the appendix bit i was quite shocked i had finished the book.

yeah I agree with you, its a good book but the endings lame. Its as if the author was only allowed to write a certain number of pages :P
