This is a short film by Chris Morris, he of Brass Eye Paedogeddon fame (among other things). It's difficult to review without entirely giving away what happens, but...
A man is housesitting for a friend. Part of his housesitting duties involve looking after the dog, Rothko. He takes Rothko for a walk, and things go very VERY wrong.
And that's it in a nutshell; the film is only about 12 or 13 minutes long, and is rather like an extended (but less selfconsciously weird) sketch from Jam. As well it should be; it's based on a monologue from Blue Jam, Morris' radio show.
So what's it like? And as this is technically classed as 'comedy', is it actually funny?
Well, I enjoyed it. I'm biased in that I like Chris Morris, but Jam wasn't really something to be enjoyed. More something you could say "Yes, I survived watching Jam on TV" and feel smug because your less right-on friends weren't in on just what a cool televisual innovator Morris is. My Wrongs does have a couple of laugh out loud lines in it, and it succeeds in making a genuinely unnerving scenario seem funny (though, as ever with Morris, his parting shot is a melancholic one). But mainly, it succeeds because we empathise with the central character. As he is...well, not the most well adjusted of people, this is no small achievement.
It's usually on E4 or C4 on the graveyard shift, though it's also out on DVD for pennies.
Thought it was terrible to be honest.
I thought (Blue) Jam worked better as a radio show, but do think that CM is a bit of a genius.
