This is the more enjoyable of a number of evils.
Lets jut let the classics develop a time goes on, I'm just rehashing, but we can be hopeful about the quality of upcoming releases and be realistically critical about them once they arrive.
now, back to ignoring work and more browsing

What could be better than a long chat on gameaday. you fool don't ya like it here

I think a few others are Stuntman, Devil May Cry and Silent Hill 2. Also Redfaction is nearly out, its finished and will be released in the US very soon.
I have to agree that some games have the potential e.g Stuntman and Getaway but we only have details and a few screen shots. And there fore in this day and age the game could be released without having the stuff they said would be in it. Or having a bad control system or whatever which makes the game a bit crap, and not as good as everyone thought.
I think that games like Silent Hill 2 are going to be classics as its the sequel to a very good game. MGS2 also had a very good prequel and with all the screen shots and the demo its very easy to say its going to be a classic.
Devil May Cry also looks very good as its developed by Capcom and they have a very good history for this type of game.
There are other games that arent even mentioned yet which might be in development but arent confirmed are games like Tekken 4, Resident Evil 4, Ridge Racer 6, Gran Turismo 4, Driver 3 e.t.c that people will instantly say "wow thats going to be an amazing game a classic in the making"

Not bad, yourself?

DC is a good choice for sure. I have an N64. Perfect Dark and Episode 1 Racer I liked, but wasn`t too fond of some of the others :-)

Very true, though the PS2 has already got a user base of over 10 million, which I believe the consoles you mentioned lacked.

Probably right. PS2 is more than treble the price!
This will obviously change as time goes

Right again. I certainly hope it really takes off. It`s already doing well though.
But there are two things thay really

Fortunately for me, my PS2 is mine, so I manage to keep the choice open mostly, though I see your point. Your also right about the price of DVDs. The only time I buy them is if they are on offer (majorly on offer I mean).
2). Right, ok, thats 2 games. Wow. Did you not realise

There will be. I have a list that I can give. However, only about 4 have been released so far.
Sorry if it sounds like im having a go here, but

I know what you mean. I think that the initial post was a little too biased as you said. However, I think the PS2 does have a very good future, with many good titles to come.

Classic games? I didn`t know there were any yet. It hasn`t been around long enough. perhaps he meant old PSone games. Maybe?
As for not mentioning GT3 and MGS2, I agree with you on the MGS2 point, but GT3 is only just over a month a way!!
Out of interest YH, what console are you a fan/owner of, or are you a PC guy? I don`t think I`ve ever asked before, (silly and rude of me, sorry). My name kind of gives away where my feelings go, but I can`t remember what you liked most.
