Also, i've got Xbox Live and I need to know what to do when I change my ISP because when I set up my Xbox Live Account I had to get a MAC address from Blueyonder, do I have to do that with BT?
I'm getting Sky Digital too!
Cant wait, the last time I had Sky was about 2 years ago. I've really missed the movie channels.
:-(
As for your other question, I think it's time everyone learnt the difference between routers and firewalls: None.
What's the best broadband provider? Kinda want to use a router so... Is wireless any better?
And is there anyway to get it routed to two computers without slowing down the connection or adding a firewall?!?

Yeah but my dad is getting that all for £15.99 because he works for them, it wqas either get BT Broadband or NOT get Sky so I said I wanted BT Broadband.
You know, on some games you can get a lower ping on 128k ISDN than you can on broadband.
> Yeah but a higher transfer speed can be very useful.
Of course it is, but the way Coin was talking he was thinking it makes online gaming better, but it doesnt. Pings are the same, and online games use very little amounts of data, so dont need big transfer speeds, upload is the same as 512K so no better at hosting a game. If you were sharing the connection then online gaming should be a little better if the other users were downloading, browsing or playing online games themselves.
By the way, for anyone who cares, it's actually not 15GB downloaded (ie. 150 episodes of Anime or about 3,000 songs) but 15GB transfer. Which means each page you visit / refresh on. So leave it. Don't touch anything with anything in anyway similiar to a download / transfer limit. Ever.
For high speeds, but not high costs (whooo! Slogans 4 eva!!111) get fasthosts.
For example (from an advert in T3) 512 Kbps (same as BT) £19.99. Which is the same speed and everything, only without the 15GB limit.
1024 Kbps (which I might get) £31.99. It's like the mother of all gaming lines. The mother. Yes, really.
Mmmm... Pings of 50 on US servers... Mmmm...
