It all depends who you talk to, to get a statement on it. But what I am going to say is this- Some women can't find it degrading, otherwise they wouldn't so willingly be filmed/photographed for pornographic reasons. Of course, there is the money, but who would stay in a job they are against, like a vegetarian working in a Butcher's? If you can do sexual things in front of a camera and do well, congratrulations. Welcome to the porn industry.

The only degrading thing about porn is the number of head-in-the-sand prudes who think that, if they say something shouldn't happen, it won't happen. Hence, porn occupies that legal grey area where there are no laws to protect porn stars from exploitation but there are laws to criminalize them for doing so.

The sooner we stop our Victorian, prudish, "I'm not having good (or any) sex so I don't think anyone should be shown having it" attitude toward porn and start regulating it so as to prevent runaways being drugged up and violated on camera, the better.

That's the problem which occurs when those who hold power are so conservative and narrow-minded, I guess.
