There is one manager who has not been mentioned that also stands out and that is Matt Busby what he acheived especially after the Munich Air Crash is worthy of mention

Herbert Chapman.

Not only did he win numerous league titles and cups for Arsenal but he was also a forward thinker and modernised the game in the 1930's.

Highbury was the first ground to have a clock (Chapmans idea). Highbury was the first ground to be floodlight (Chapmans idea). Chapman also pursauded London Transport to rename the nearest tube station to Highbury - to be named 'Arsenal'.

Chapmans managerial record compares with the best (Shanks, Ferguson, Paisley etc) but Chapman was much more than just a manager.

I suppose out of that lot I'd say Alex Ferguson

There is no doubt its Alex Ferguson for what he achieved with both Aberdeen and Man utd.
