when i start up the pc the nividia software starts up which is not a problem but i wonder if it affects gameing, becawse the settings are anti alaising and things like that and i wondered if it does that in the game to be sure i have turned it off.

If anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering are turned on then yes, it will affect the performance of games.
Turn AA and AF to "application controlled" and you 'll be able to adjust those settings in-game.
