I thought 'hentai' actually meant 'pervert' or 'perverted', but stupid westerners used it as a word to describe the small percentage of Japanese anime that contains a lot of sexual content. Some of the worst you could say would only be watched by freaks. You could say hentai is just another word for 'porn' if you like. Now how many people watch porn? bingo!
