Could Adrian Mutu be next on his way out the door at Stamford Bridge, following in the trails of Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink, Jesper Gronkjaer and Hernan Crespo?

MOURINHO TO DECIDE MUTU FUTURE
Wednesday 4th August 2004

"Adrian Mutu could decide his future is away from Chelsea should manager Jose Mourinho fail to convince him he is in his plans for the Stamford Bridge outfit this term.
The Romanian international, who arrived from Parma last season, is currently battling to start at The Blues against the likes of Didier Drogba, Mateja Kezman and Eidur Gudjohnsen.

"Mutu is set for showdown talks with new manager Mourinho and if he is not satisfied with the amount of playing time he will receive this season, will consider his future."

"Obviously he wants the same chances of playing as the other attackers in the team, that's why we will ask to meet the manager as soon as possible to know what are his plans for him," explained Mutu's agent Andrea Pretti said to The Guardian.

"I believe Mourinho considers the four attackers at the same level. If this is not the case, however, things will change."

"Serie A duo Juventus and Fiorentina have been linked with moves for the marksman and could decide to step up their reported interest in Mutu if he is not in Mourinho's plans."
----------

And to think, this is the same man who couldn't stop scoring at the start of the last season...

Where did it all go wrong?

Will he feature in Mourinho's plans in the same way Didier Drogba and Mateja Kezman inevitabley will?

Should he seriously be considering a year-long loan-move to Fiorentina or Juventus? Perhaps, even, a permanent move away from Chelsea....?

Looks like he's gone too!

Both the forwards signed from italy shipped back over there!

Looks like Gudjohnson and Drogba will be the only two out and out forwards available for the start of the season for Chelsea!

Doesn't he smoke? Or was that a stupid rumour I heard? Surely a professional wouldn't smoke.

he's ridiculously dedicated and easily proved what he has even if he went of a bit at the end of the season. Mourinho will love him, he works so hard and thats what mourinho loves. I heard he has cut back ridiculously on going out too. I doubt he will leave. Think he is an awesome player and actually prefer him to gudjohnsen

I have to say of all Chelsea's foreigners they've brought in, Adrian Mutu has been the only one to really impress me so far.

Ugh this is so old now. How many times has he been leaving?

He's a quality player and should stay.

If he's desperate to leave then give him a loan deal, but I'd play him this season. (Perhaps that's why I'm not a premiership coach then....)
