It was a German subtitled movie. Where about 30 people volunteered for an experiment.(the get payed 4000 marks for doing so) This experiment was to live as prisoners for 14 days, and by doing so each participant was waving their legal rights. Half of the volunteers were made prisoners and the other half guards. It was all about how attitudes changed. At first the elected guards were laughing along with the so called prisoners as the game seemed comical at first. But the guards soon begin to use their power to humiliate and demoralise the prisoners. Mesmerising stuff. Superb. Anyone else watch it?
Yeah, it's based on a real experiment that was done - I watched it for that. Psychology and all that shiz.
It's been exaggerated, of course - there were no spies or anything. But in the real thing they had to stop the experiment about half-way through because everything was getting too out of hand.
