Just made my first ever batch of Jam Tarts. Pastry n' everything.

And..DAMN! They're bloody fantastic if I do say so myself!!

Which is even more exciting (for me) cos' we don't have any scales so I just guesstimated all the weights n stuff.

They even passed the Dad test.

I wanna make a mega jam tart next. The size of a pizza. I shall call it The Uber Tart.

I made scones yesterday, and they kicked bootay. They also passed the Dad test, which is wonderful considering he used to be a chef.

Well..true but he took another off the plate stright away. If he didn't like them he would have said he'll have it after dinner. So in my books it's a pass.

Parents always say food is good what their sons/daughters make.

I found this out to my cost when I nearly poisoned someone a few years ago.
