Basel v Inter seems to be the only match that involves larger clubs and could be relatively close.
Other than that, the big guns seems to have an easy route through.

Last years Shield was a joke.

Plus I don't think it'll be as firey as OT. It'll all be a bit of a warm up I think. However, I don't think we meet you in the season until about half-way christmasy. So maybe we'll draw blood.

Not really looking forward to that Romanian trip against Bucharest, long as we get a draw at least from there we should be ok. Of course after the Charity shield we may have a long list of injuries after facing the thugs of Arsenal :-D

Sparta Prague came 2nd in the Czech League and face Cypriot and Austrian teams.

Banik won the Czech league and the reward is to face Bayer Leverkeusen. You've got to appreciate the irony of that.

Benfica Vs Anderlecht could be a close one.

Sparta Prague deserve a highlighting. I'm going there in September and it is my full intention to buy a Sparta Prague Poborksy 8 shirt, and sit in the home stand, ask a English-speaking Czech what "YOU ROCK MY WORL KAREL!" is in Czech, and proceed to bellow it throughout the game. Then after the game I'll pretend to be a Liverpool agent and try and sign him on a free.

I hope Djurgarden and Liverpool show that they're worthy of going through. Shaktar have made a couple of decent signings that I've seen. Also I'm a bit suprised to see Depor aren't worthy of a highlighting...

Apart from that the biggies will be in there come this season. Perhaps one big gun out just to stir a little :)
