If you can't be bothered to read it, it's basically saying how he found some of their albums that he hadn't heard in a while and how great they are.
At one point a few years ago I rarely listened to anything else: it was FNM all the way. The trouble with this was that I eventually got saturated by it - there were no surprises anymore, no moments of glee when a particular song started.
So I made a decision: because I liked them so much and they reminded me of one of the happiest periods in my life, I'd remedy the situation ... I got my CDs and put them in a box to be unheard for an unspecified time until it got to the point when I really, really wanted to listen to all the songs on all their albums.
They went into that box about 2 years ago and will probably be coming out next year sometime ... and I can't wait.
Oh, and the box also contains the original Star Wars movies on VHS ...
Angel Dust is probably my favourite album overall, but Album Of The Year has some great tracks on it. Come to think of it, they've all got great tracks on ...
I saw them live, twice, and they were bloody brilliant both times. I also have some MP3's of one of the concerts I was at - http://timmargh.net/music/faith_no_more.php.
Kind of what happened to FNM - they were huge for a while, then Patton cut all his hair off and they released Angel Dust - confusing the hell out of everybody who wanted Epic II.
I've been listening to Angel Dust & King for a Day a lot recently, and the Chuck Moseley fronted "Introduce Yourself" album, which is very very good - especially The Crab Song, Chinese Arithmetic & We Care A Lot.
I've still got the King for a Day album in a collectors vinyl thingy. All the songs on seperate 7" vinyl singles, with a B-side of a cover song or interview in a big black box. Ahhh, the benefits of dating an HMV girl at the time.
All together now:
"A little joke that's understood...it's all over the world.."
