Hey,
I have searched all over the net to see if my computer would work with Half Life 2 and I have not found a suitable answer.
I was wondering if you could help me out and tell me if I would be able to get it to run with the following specs:

1.35 Ghz
256 MB RAM
Nvidia GForce 2 (Thats what I am worried about)

-Thats all you really need.

Thanks,
James.

HL2 will work on your computer in DX7 mode.
It just won't look very pretty. And it probably won't be very smooth either.

Yeah, it's most likely capable, don't worry.

Go to run and type dxdiag if you're not sure, and look at the version.

I've got a P4 2.66Ghz, 512 RAM, GeForceFX5200 64Mb RAM, and Half-Life 2 barely runs at low settings - but it's playable. I can ramp CS up quite high (1024x768, medium everything) and still get 70-80 fps though, which is cool. I turn all the sounds off and down though - especially the voice thing, that saves loads.

I think minimum required on the nVidia side is a geforce 4, so it'll probably not even install.
