Whether a game is a sequal or not, it is the quality of the game that matters. For example, my favourite game ever has got to be NiGHTS on the Saturn. I for one wouldn't care one bit if Sega mad a sequal to the game, just so long as it was of high quality.
Obviously, games such as Fifa that have updates twice a year and don't really go beyond the same experience, and don't merit an update. However, in some circumstances gamers really do want sequals. To be a worthy sequal to a game, the new game has to expand on the original, have new ideas, and most of all... BE FUN! After all that's what games are all about, isn't it?
Tell me what you think.
As long as its not JUST sequels being produced...
Whos gonna develop new gaming genres if were just stuck playing updated versions of the ones we already have...?
Like with MGS and MGS2 there will be a lot of people saying that theses games are similar. But if you think about it these games will have a lot differences but it will still have some similarities. But this doesn't make the game crap and unoriginal because it will have a lot of original content.
thanx
fishy
Originality, another original game, then a sequal.
