Righto.

Down the very bottom there.

Now then, cable.

I remember Adrian saying straight not crossover - patch is the same thing as straight, non?

So is this the cable I need?

What be the difference between assembled and snagless? Does it matter?
And why is grey more expensive than yellow?

Danke.

Indeed, the wall construction does have a serious effect on the signal, though I run a relay antenna on the ceiling in the hall which keeps the signal up, plus soon a mast outside so I can frag from the pub!;)

Your thinking Bluetooth!;)

I get a full strength signal @ 900ft. Once I get my atenna installed, that'll be upped to 2km on avaerage strength, just under 1600ft for full strength

802.11b = 11Mbps
802.11g = 54Mbps
802.11g+ = 108Mbps

These figures are based on optimum conditions and hardware.

For general netsurfing and downloading 11b is fine, if you into heavy network traffic, 11g+ is much better. I've just upgraded to 11g+ and can now stream anything I want around my house with no problems (Thanks to my KiSS ethernet/wireless DVD Player).

How about splash out that little bit extra and go wireless, Get a couple of 54g Wireless cards and a Wireless ADSL router and BHAM no wires to lay or anything, also very easy to set up.
