I have the curse of being an AOL broadband subscriber and so as a result, as far as I know, can’t use a router.
I want to get LIVE but at present I know I would have to do it by linking it though my pc by a network card. I can do this but id rather not have to switch my pc on because it’s an old banger and the fan is so bloody loud.
Sorry if its been asked before but I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

Although I'm not on AOL anymore, apparently they have upgraded all their current 512k customers to 1MB free of charge...
25 quid a month for 1MB isn't all that bad - but you can't have it all ways. On the bright side you'll have double speed, on the brown smelly side, you'll have to turn on your old banger when you want to live.

The most important thing you need to do in such a situation:
1. Get rid of AOL, even if it means breaking contract early.
