This apparently ships with 16 pipelines working out of the box, so no hardmodding is required. A simple BIOS flash to the Gigabyte X800XT PE and Whoo... all the Ati drivers recognise it as a fully fledged X800XT!!

Im selling my 17" TFT and Ive got myself a cheapish 19" sont flatscreen trinitron.Besides, I hated watching DVDs on the TFT as the contrast was pretty bad.
Bring on those 1600x1200 Far Cry and Doom 3 sessions!!

Bah X800 cards are prooving to be frustratingly hard to get hold of, 2 months and still waiting...
Almost considering getting an Ultra 6800 just to out of spite for ATI.
