I'm sure many will compare it to the Office, because it's based in part of an office complex, and they wear "officey" clothes, but it's nothing like it. What I didn't like about Brent & Co was that the characters were too much, when the real people we meet in these situations are never that extreme. But I've met people from the Smoking Room, because they've got it spot-on. It'll probably be on BBC2 soon, I hope - although the jokes about digital TV being sh*t will lose some of the irony appearing on a terres**trial channel.

This is totally untrue. The office is a subtle, underplayed master piece. If I every do bother to watch the smoking room Im sure I wont find it half as good as the office.
Quite funny
Or do you mean the other older bloke who isn't quite as old as the security guard?
I've seen an episode and a half or so. It has it's moments, but I wasn't always able to follow quite what was going on, joining half way through the series. Seemed to be things going on I needed to know about, but didn't.
Some of the jokes missed the mark a little too. Too forced. Don't like the snobby woman wit the short hair that comes in from time to time either.
Most of the cast are recognisable though, but I can't place them. Very annoying.
I think I might have enjoyed it if I caught it from the start of the series, but it's not as good as Nighty Night was. (Not that they're compareable - but it's on in a similar timeslot!).
Watched a couple of episodes and was alright, trouble is it is on at a bad time and i'm usually watching other shows that's i've already gotten into
