Ok this is not 100% but Word has it that there will be 2 raw main events this Summerslam.
1. will be HHH V.S Eugene.
And the 2nd will be Randy Ortan V.S Benoit for the World title...and the word is that the WWE are intrested in giveing the title to Ortan!
Now 2 things hit me when I think about this.
Randy is a great wrestler and will make a great champ one day..but I cant help but think its a lil too early in his push to be the world champ.
I have no doubts that him and Benoit could put on a great match I just think theres other guys on Raw who should get the belt before Ortan, Like Y2J or Kane.
WWE feels that by giving Ortan the title now he could end up like how the Rock did when he was given the title at such a young age and become a larger than life character. Which makes me think that they want to make him a face which again I dont think is right. What makes ortan so cool is his the cocky bad guy. Look at Cena he was great as a heel but his promos suck now his become a face.
So what do you guys think? is it too soon for Ortan to be champ and If so who do you think should be after Benoit??or maybe you think Benoit should hlod it for a few more months[something i would not mind].

The damage has been done though, you can't suddenly start pushing a guy as a monster heel when he's recently been jobbed out to Matt Hardy!!!

First of all, Randy is NOT a great wrestler. He hasn't mastered selling for his opponent, when necessary, transitioning between moves and basic psychology. Until he does all of the above, I won't consider him to be a great wrestler, just another Green OVW rookie jabroni.

Orton doesn't have the technical skills to put on a truly great match with Benoit. To put on a truly great match, you need to be your opponents equal, much like Benoit and Angle. Orton doesn't have the ability to 'go' with Benoit and trade holds and counter holds at the same speed as Benoit can, which will, in the end, make him look inferior. Also, what exactly has Kane done to deserve the belt?

That's quite a presumption? I think the thinking behind putting the belt on Orton is that it would be a cracking way to lead into a feud with HHH, nothing more, nothing less.

There are so many wrestlers on the roster right now who work better as heels, in fact I'd estimate about 75% of the roster are better as heels, simply because it's easier to be hated than loved. Someone has to be a face by default.

Ah it must be great to be friends with HHH, get pushes you don't deserve and longer tv time as well. The only thing Orton has done to impress me is how well he whined about his frickin arm all those moons ago. Jericho is far more deserving instead of being the Steroid abusers job monkey
